Volatile markets, supply chains which are interrupted or affected by legislation, global crises, turnaround in mobility and energy policy – these and many other aspects can cause uncertainty. This also applies to companies in the metal working industry, machine tool manufacturers and suppliers. However, the industry realises that it has an answer ready in the form of innovations in its core technology as well as in intelligent and up-to-date incorporation of its products in its customers’ processes. But this must also be communicated to the outside world. AMB is an ideal platform in this respect.

Messe Stuttgart will once again become the focus of the metal working industry from 10 to 14 September 2024: AMB – International Exhibition for Metal Working – will open its doors and the world’s leading manufacturers of metal cutting machine tools, precision tools and everything relating to the process chain will show what they have to offer. Whether for mechanical engineering, the automotive and motor vehicle industry, medical technology, tool construction and mouldmaking, aerospace engineering or the general metal working and processing industry, every user in the metal cutting industry will find an attractive range of innovations and technologies at the fully booked-up trade fair grounds in Stuttgart. The products and services will include modern machine tools, production systems, their control units, drives, CAD/CAM, extensive automation solutions, the related measuring systems, Industry 4.0 solutions, collaborative robotics and artificial intelligence.
Sebastian Schmid, Vice President of Messe Stuttgart, emphasised: „The industry is currently faced with some challenges. Companies will only be able to remain successful on the market if they develop further and stay on the ball. This applies all the more in light of the current situation. During a one-day visit to AMB, you will also be able to obtain an extensive overview of how these new exciting technologies will improve your company. You will also benefit from networking opportunities, the attractive accompany programme and discussions with the metal working industry.”

AMB: an international industry highlight
AMB 2024 will feature a wide range of exhibitors from different segments in the metal working industry. From large international groups, small and medium-sized enterprises, and hidden champions through to start-ups, visitors will gain an extensive overview of the current conditions and the efficiency in the metal working industry. Both travel to the Stuttgart Trade Fair Center and attendance at the exhibition are easy and convenient: since the exhibition areas for machine tools, production systems, precision tools, measuring systems and quality assurance, software and digitalisation, automation and materials handling technology through to related peripherals will be thematically arranged on the 120,000 square metres of exhibition space at Messe Stuttgart, a one-day visit to AMB will be possible.
One special highlight will be the presentation of the AMB Award which recognises the creativity and engineering skills of the exhibitors. The independent jury will present the AMB Award for new and further developments which represent significant value-added for the industry. The accompanying programme of AMB 2024 will provide numerous opportunities for discussions and networking. Interested persons can find interesting information about the accompanying programme on the official AMB website www.amb-messe.de under the „Programme” tab.
Visit to AMB: plan and experience the exhibition in an efficient way
From the end of May onwards, a good three and half months before the start of the 21st AMB, visitors will be able to ideally plan their attendance at the exhibition with the aid of the exhibitor directory on the exhibition website (amb-messe.de). In conjunction with the new AMB app (also available from the end of May onwards under AMB Stuttgart in the app store for Android and iOS), visitors will be able, for example, to compile their individual day programme and mark highlights. They will therefore not miss anything and will be well-informed.
Travel to the Stuttgart Trade Fair Center can also be planned efficiently. Using the event ticket of German Railways, you can travel inexpensively to Stuttgart Main Station and from there to Messe Stuttgart in the most sustainable way on the public transport network (VVS) with the local transport ticket included in the day ticket for the exhibition. Travel to AMB in the morning and return home in the evening – by train, by air or in your car.
Experience one day (or several days) full of innovations, technology highlights and encounters at the Stuttgart Trade Fair Center!
Being there will be worthwhile
Sebastian Schmid is filled with enthusiasm about the status of AMB: „As the leading event in even years, AMB enjoys an excellent reputation and is one of the leading technical exhibitions for metal working – a key to markets. It fills us with pride to stage this important event in Stuttgart and offer the industry in September a platform with such a unique reach and quality. You simply have to be there! Help us shape the further development of the metal working industry.”
