Suppliers and users of production technologies are cordially invited to the 43rd Motek, the international trade fair for production and assembly automation, together with the 18th Bondexpo, the international trade fair for bonding technology.
The three-day trade fair highlight from 6 to 8 October 2026 in Stuttgart offers the industry far-reaching synergies and new cooperation perspectives: With the parallelism of the two trade fairs VISION and Motek/Bondexpo, the organisers are creating a useful platform for technology integration and networking.
Exhibitors and trade visitors are expecting Motek/Bondexpo 2026, which once again aims to set new benchmarks for the industrial manufacturing sector with future-proof and practical solutions. Anyone from the production industry who wants to automate a process or function, regardless of the industry – for example, mechanical engineering, equipment and plant engineering, automotive technology and vehicle construction, sheet metal processing, plastics processing, metalworking and processing, wood processing, electronics and electrical engineering, laboratory automation, health care and medical technology – will find the right components and solutions at Motek/Bondexpo. This year, the trade fair organisers of VISION 2026 – Messe Stuttgart – and the trade fair duo Motek/Bondexpo – the trade fair company P. E. Schall – are offering the industry real added value through the parallelism of the trade fair dates at the same location. After all, the hot spot of image processing, VISION, and the proven platform for production automation, Motek/Bondexpo, complement each other excellently in terms of both technical and thematic aspects.

In focus: Holistic production thanks to cooperation and synergy
„The portfolio of topics at Motek/Bondexpo covers the entire process chain for cost-effective production and assembly automation,” emphasizes Rainer Bachert, long-standing project manager of the trade fair duo at the trade fair company P. E. Schall. „The next Motek/Bondexpo will reflect this holistic approach. Thanks to various synergies, manufacturing companies can thus generate economically tangible benefits for operational practice,” says Bachert. This is demonstrated, for example, in the field of feeding technology, in which image recognition and AI-supported image processing are increasingly linked. „Partial sorting, separation and handling have long since ceased to stand alone, but are integrated into automated complete systems that bring together the technological know-how of several cooperation partners. These integrative systems are the future of manufacturing technology.”
This integrative, holistic approach to plant design is to be exemplified this year by the „Industrial Interactive Zone”: As part of a competition, the Industrial Interactive Zone makes the aspects of process integration, fast commissioning and flexible format changeover directly tangible. Companies are invited to solve a task holistically by cooperating with technology partners by combining different system functionalities into an overall system. The competition participants are to demonstrate by way of example how the smooth interaction of different functionalities within a system succeeds. The aim is to show that automation solutions can be implemented easily if they come from a single source and are systemically designed.

Automated, integrated processes for greater efficiency
The topics of handling, object recognition, feeding and assembly are at the heart of product manufacturing – long since automated and integrated processes, supported by robotics, sensors and software. „It is existentially important for manufacturing companies to realize efficiency in all areas and at all levels,” Rainer Bachert points out. „The key to cost savings and profitability is the use of all conceivable synergies. Motek/Bondexpo 2026 wants to provide new impetus for this. Exhibitors and trade visitors will benefit from a broad target group approach and optimal use of resources on this practice-oriented business and communication platform.”
In addition to VISION and Motek/Bondexpo, EFX – Expo for Electronics Manufacturing – and Quantum Effects will take place at the same time. EFX is the new industry event for electronics manufacturing and showcases trends and technologies related to the production of electronic components. As a trade fair and conference for quantum technologies, Quantum Effects bridges the gap between science, start-ups and business. The parallelism of four top-class technology trade fairs provides significant impetus for the entire region and strengthens international competitiveness. By bundling four trade fairs in one place, Stuttgart will become a meeting place for decision-makers, developers and visionaries from all over the world. One ticket entitles you to admission to all four events.
64 Years of Trade Fairs for Markets – The Recipe for Success of Schall Trade Fairs
Schall has developed successful business platforms with the internationally recognised trade fairs for quality assurance (Control), optical technologies, components and systems (Optatec), stamping technology (Stanztec), production and assembly automation (Motek), bonding technology (Bondexpo), plastics processing (Fakuma) as well as sheet metal processing (Blechexpo) and joining technology (Schweisstec). This has given rise to completely new markets in various industries, whose protagonists are characterized by a high level of innovation, comprehensive system expertise and practical application solutions.
